Hery

Clément Herilalao Andrianasolo (Hery) has lived in Grenoble since 1996 and is as active in the field of jazz as he is in the international rock scene. At the age of five he began playing the violin; drums, piano and bass guitar soon followed. Hery then studied sound engineering at the Conservatoire National de Musique de Grenoble and musicology at the University Pierre Mendes in Saint-Martin d'Hères.
His passion for jazz led him to the University of Music and Performing Arts in Chambéry, where he studied jazz piano and gained a Certificat d'études musicales (CFEM). He contributed to the CD “Island of Ghosts” by Rossy, one of Madagascar’s most famous musicians. With the American guitarist Henry Kaiser and David Lindley, he played as a keyboardist on the CD “A World Out of Time”, which is dedicated to the musical traditions of Madagascar.
