Titi

Thierry Razakamiadana (Titi) is an important figure in the Malagasy jazz scene. Although his mother only occasionally played piano at home, he was encouraged by his parents into a musical career. Already at a young age, Titi was devoted to the piano, but soon - inspired by his uncle Harry Rakoto - discovered brass instruments, especially the clarinet and tenor saxophone. In 1977, the Malagasy musician and lyricist Bessa heard Titi play and immediately hired him for his next tour.
In the 1980s, Titi played with Henry Ratsimbazafy and accompanied the new generation of bands, including “Tsiakoraka”, “Poopy”, “Olombelo Ricky” and “Tovo J'hay”. In recent years, he has increasingly devoted himself to the world of traditional Malagasy music
